Linda Webb

Organist

Music has been a constant thread throughout Linda's life. She began piano lessons at the age of 7 and began accompanying church and school choirs at age 14. As a high school senior, she taught private piano lessons to beginners.

 

While attending the University of Illinois, Linda continued accompanying work as the Women's Choir accompanist. As a student there, Linda earned a degree in Early Childhood Education with an area of concentration in music.

 

After college, returned to her hometown of Bushcell, IL, married a farmer, began teaching kindergarten, and continued to accompany church and school groups.

 

In 1980, Linda began private pipe organ lessons. The following year she began sharing the role of church organist. Becoming the full time organist in 1998 for the Bushnell United Methodist Church, Linda served in that position until 2020.

 

The first 27 years of her public school teaching career, Linda taught kindergartners and first graders. She then taught elementary music to students in grades K-5 for 8 years.

 

Linda and Terry Webb married in 1975. They have two children and four grandsons.
