FULFILLMENT SUNDAY
September 29, 2013
KELLY'S KORNER
By this time, you should have received a Capital Campaign brochure, pledge envelope and letter from me. Please read all the materials. Call me or any ambassador with any questions. I pray you are ready to make a pledge of prayer, time, talent and/or treasure this Sunday.
Please bring your pledge envelope to worship this Sunday. (No worries if you forget—we will have extra!) If you want to have it filled out already, that is fine. We will provide time for completing the envelope and having some personal prayer. You will note there are four boxes to check on the envelope to indicate your promises of time, talent, treasure and prayer. PLEASE CHECK ALL THAT APPLY! You are not limited to one type of gift to the church. All these gifts are opportunities to live faithfully within this community at First Christian Church. So please fill out the envelope as you choose.
As stated previously, extra pledge envelopes will be available on Sunday. It is possible that a child or youth will want to make their own pledge. More and more couples have separate bank accounts these days. For whatever reason, if your family desires more than one pledge envelope, they will be provided.
After the sermon, we will share in the Act of Fulfillment, bringing closure to the fundraising phase of renovate—heart · home · hope. We will do this in worship to remind ourselves of the wonderful gifts of love and church God has granted us. Our response to this campaign is also a response to God. As God is faithful to us, we seek be faithful to God.
Our sermon focus is Renovate Hope. Psalm 130 states I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope…o Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem. These words were powerful for the original audience. They remain powerful for us today. May we renew our hope this Fulfillment Sunday!
Peace, Kelly

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Remember Pledge Envelope on Sunday, September 29
When filling out your pledge, please mark all areas of gifts you are willing and able to share—time, talent, prayer, and treasure if possible. Also, please choose to have your name added to the donor list.
Remember to bring your pledge envelope this Sunday. Additional envelopes will be available at the door. If you are unable to be with us that day, please try to make arrangements so it can be a part of Fulfillment Sunday.
Thank You!
VAN DRIVERS NEEDED
We need volunteers to drive the van on Sunday mornings and for special services and gatherings (e.g., Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, ice-cream social, etc.) We want all of the FCC family to be able to attend all the events held here or sponsored by the church.
